How Do We Show Solidarity?
Dust bites. Red storms strip all before them. Grains of sand are sharp, gritty, punishing. Winds come suddenly, filling the sky with feminine pink.
Hi everyone,
I am reblogging this post from On the Plum Tree. It is a request for submissions of poems, writings, songs and art work for an event to be held on Spetember 15th to benefit Sahel, a region in Africa hit by a horrible drought that has left a lot of people dying from starvation and other diseases. I am sending in a poem that I am writing. I thought maybe others would like to know about it too.
Thanks!
Erik

Wonderful that you are plugging this, Erik. I am considering a submission too!
Great Miss Marple!
This is a wonderful idea, Erik. Thanks for letting us know about it.
Sure! Thanks for reading!
This is wonderful, thanks for letting us know Erik.
Such a unique project and worthy cause that continues to grow worldwide. Glad you’re submitting. Advertized on my FB. Dr. Niam Clune’s article is powerful.
Thank you Patricia. Spreading the word is so important. Even of people do not send in something, promoting the event so that people will download the anthology is more important.
I agree!
The article IS powerful AND important! Thanks for sharing it!
What a great cause to be supporting, Erik. Thanks for sharing with us.
It IS a great cause Ms. Hill!
Thanks so much for reposting and sharing! This is a great cause and I had no idea about it.
Thanks for your comment!
Very powerful post, Erik. Just seeing that you care is already heartwarming for me.
It seems like such a big problem, but I think the more people who know about it, the more help there will be.
