First off:
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!!

Also, don’t forget that today is INTERNATIONAL BOOK GIVING DAY!!! Our family donated books to a local program that gives children books when they go in for a checkup at the doctors. To learn more about Book Giving Day, click on the badge!
Now it’s time for another Creative Kid! Jacob is an artist and a 5th grader that happens to be in my math class! He wins most drawing competitions in math class (they are math related drawing competitions…). He drew me this awesome drawing of Fenir from the Inheritance series (awesome books by Christopher Paolini, you should read them) with a caption – “Burn Through a Good Book!” I love it. I’m going to frame it and put it in my bedroom. I hope you like it too!

Hannah says it reminds her of Princess Paper Bag (she means Paper Bag Princess lol)
Happy Valentine’s day, Erik!
Huh? I like the Paper Bag Princess! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Do you remember the dragon in the Paper Bag Princess?
Somewhat – I read it a LONG time ago…
Happy Valentine’s Day! Thanks for sharing Jacob’s cool drawing
.
Thanks!
Wow! That is AWESOME, Jacob!!!!
I read book one of the Inheritance series last summer. I loved it. I have to read the rest, but I just haven’t gotten them ordered from the library. (Plus they’re huge–I’d need a little more time than I have right now!)
I love the Paper Bag Princess, too. One of my favorites. I used to read it all the time back when I was subbing.
I remember reading Eragon in about 5-7 days.
You really have a gift Jacob! Loved your dragon.
Happy Valentine’s Day — I donated books to a doctors office, the library and donated to Miranda Paul’s charity “1 Million Books for Gambia.”
Thanks Ms. Tilton! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Bravo Jacob and Erik!
Thanks!
Wow! Jacob is definitely a creative and talented kid! I wonder if he can draw a dog…..
Love and Valentine licks,
Cupcake
He probably can!
Dude, that dragon looks serious. I used the d-word because I saw it on his face! I like how gritty the scales look, and the stern readiness of his nostrils – like this fellow has seen a lot of action in his day – wonderful!
Actually Fenir is only a couple of months old when you meet him… Shame on you for using the d-word (unless if it’s “darn” or “dude”
)
It was for dude. A friend of mine is heavily offended when her son is called by that instead of his name – and the last thing I want to do is offend that dragon!
Phew!
Wow Erik! You are surrounded by awesomeness! We have all those Eragon books at our house. The Mom Person tried reading them to me, but I kept falling asleep. It might have helped to have cool pictures like Jacob’s included in the books.
I’ll talk to him about it…
Now that is awesome and amazing artwork indeed! Great job, Jacob. I’m also very glad to note Erik how you celebrated Book Giving Day! Very nice!
I am envious of Jacob’s art skills! I made sure we “gathered books” to donate!
