This story takes place a long time ago in Norway. Odd was odd. Ever since his father died Odd has had bad luck. An example is that a tree smashed his leg when he was chopping it down. Then one day he saw a fox and decided to follow it. It led him to a bear and an eagle. The bear, eagle, and fox were hiding a secret that they told to Odd and he was amazed by their tremendous truth. He also learned that they had to save Asgard, the home of the Norwegian gods, from the evil frost giants who had taken it over, a feat that seems impossible for a 12-year-old boy who needs a crutch to walk! In his adventure Odd learns courage and finds out that the things that make him “odd” helps him out. A the end of his journey Odd receives an unexpected gift from Odin, the head of the Norwegian gods.
This is a great book that I would recommend to any one. There’s no violence in this book and that makes it an excellent story. My grandmother read this and she liked it a lot!
