Amy and Dan never wanted to be powerful. Ever since their parents died, they became very close to their grandmother Grace Cahill. When Grace died and her will was read, they had a choice join the hunt for the 39 clues or take a million dollars each (all the members of the family had the same choice). They would have chosen the million dollars but they realized that Grace really wanted them to do the hunt and that all the time they spend with her, she was training them for the hunt. In each book Amy and Dan Cahill find out that some very famous people are Cahills including Benjamin Franklin, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Thomas Edison, Amelia Earhart and William Shakespeare. Soon they find out that the 39 clues isn’t just about clues it’s also very dangerous. They battle fires, poisonous snakes, sharks, ninjas and the most dangerous thing….their realatives!
This series is awesome! Every time I finished a book in the series, I couldn’t wait to pick up the next volume. It’s cool how there are “book clues” which the reader can try to figure out. Some of them are easier than others. A couple of characters die in the books so it may not be great for young kids. It’s also cool that each book in the series is written by different authors and you can actually see some difference in how they write. The books also give you facts about some famous people and places that Dan and Amy travel so you end up learning things. The books come with game cards that you can collect and play an online game. The online game is OK, but the books are better.
The Whole Series get a HUGE 5 out of 5 Book Worms!!
I can’t wait for the next book “The Vespers Rising” to be released on April 5th!

Do you have to read the books in order for them to make sense?
You should so it will fill in the questions from another book….. but I’m not so sure actually, because I read them in order.
};o})>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
no you don’t
yes then vespers vs cahills
omg i love the books you HAVE to read the books in order because in the intro it talkes ablut th elast book then to whatever book u are reading i love it i wanna read book ten it is just sooooooooooooooo rare
Hey! You should enter my 39 clues give away! Look at the April 2nd post!
no because the authors in each book remind you what happened from before to book 1-10
i think so because you will have no idea what is going on
I’m about to start on The Sword Thief (#3).. I want all the books to be by Rick Riordan! He’s such a good author! 🙂
all the books are awsome and the author are also awsome for righting such great book. It,s my favorite series ever.i love the 39 clues.
Thankfully some bloggers can still write. Thank you for this piece
Thanks for the ‘like’. Love your site! Best wishes for continued success.
Thanks for stopping by! Come again!
I love this book the sword thief is the best because ian kabra is sooooo cool!amy and ian make a good couple
I think it’s fantastic that you can differentiate the writing between different authors – and that so many participated. I may have to get the first one out of the library for my daughter (8) and see how she likes it.
It’s so cool how each author gets to make the story go however they want! I am going to have an interview with Jude Watson early next month about the second book in the The 39 Clues: Cahills vs. Vespers series called “A King’s Ransom” which she wrote. I am going to ask her how cool it is to write with other authors like that! Just to caution you that a couple characters die in the series and I know some parents don’t like that, but it wasn’t anything too graphic (I really don’t like to read [too violent books] and I am also not allowed to read anything too violent). Thanks for commenting!!
you must read 1-10 then read the vespers vs. cahills
Thanks for stopping by my blog…I’m going to link up with Susannah’s Picture Perfect Book Friday so maybe we will meet there. 🙂

Thanks!
Thank you! I like your review and blog! Thank you for telling me about your cool blog! 😀
I love 39 clues they are so awesome
What are the “book clues”? What are you trying to figure out as you read them? Doesn’t the book give the answer in the end as the main characters solve the clue?
Well, if you play the online game, you can get points from solving a hidden clue (unrelated to the book’s actual plot) in the book, then provide the answer on the site, where it lists the book. 🙂
Awesome books. I like how there are different authors because theres always a plot twist!!!!!!!!
That’s what makes the series fun! 😀
My son hasn’t read any of these. I’ll recommend them to him. Thanks!
He will love them!!! 🙂
