I just got back from the mountains (we went up there to visit my grandparents for President’s Day) and I found out that an interview I did with Sandra Hershenson of The Write Stuff Blog got published today. Please go check it out 🙂 Ms. Hershenson is starting a new Monday feature on her blog called “Words From The Wise”. Here’s what she says about it –
“Today is the inaugural post for my new Monday feature. . .Words From the Wise. Every Monday I will feature either an interview or a guest post from someone in the kidlit world. It may be an author, editor, agent, pre-published author, illustrator, student, librarian, teacher, or someone who you suggest. “

Your interview was great, Erik! It was good to know all the other things you do. Thanks!
Thank you Ms. Stilborn! I’m glad you enjoyed the interview! 🙂
I’ve already been over to read it – great job!
Have already read it and commented! Great interview. Liked hearing things I didn’t know about you.
Thank you Ms. Tilton! I was happy Ms. Hershenson asked me to do it. 🙂
Yes, it’s fun to get to know you better. I left a comment there, but I’ll leave it here too… My husband is a physics PhD, and he researches nano-tech. There are lots of great opportunities in nano-technology. Good luck with all your inventions!
Thanks! That is so COOL! I really want to learn more about nano-technology and how to use it to help other people!!
Erik, wow! I read your blog and your interview, and I can only hope that my two boys turn out as curious, intelligent and talented as you are. I want to shake your parents’ hands. As for nonfiction being “boring,” I’m going to find you some more fun stuff. Stay tuned for my Friday book reviews. Sandi, thanks for letting us learn more about Erik.
Thank you! I really like the books you pick for PPBF because they are in subjsects that interest me and they seem to be writted in an interesting way. I’ll keep looking for more 🙂
Sweet interview, Erik. You’ve got style and charm and an amazing range of talents and interests. And awesome parents, too!
Thanks for all the nice compliments 🙂 AND I agree that my parents are pretty cool!
Great interview, Erik, congratulations!
Thank you!!
So great to learn more about you Erik. May all your dreams come true (and many more I expect!)
Thank you very much!
Great interview Erik. I wish I would have thought of that. You are one amazing kid. I learn more from you than anyone else I know right now.
Coober Pedy, nano-bots, cruising (I’ve done that one and you will love it.)
I would like to be the first to review your first book. Deal?
That’s cool you’ve been on a cruise! Where did you go? You are on the top of the review list (be easy on me) 😉
Great interview, Erik. You are such a fascinating person. Your family game/movie nights sound great. Apples to Apples is one of my favorite games as well.
Thank you 🙂 We play that game a LOT! Most of the time we try to be the funniest and not really give the best answer!
That’s how I like to play too! Funny, sarcastic, and ironic always wins over factual. lol
😉
Hi Erik, It was a lovely interview, you did a great job. Always nice hearing more about what you are doing. Nice to hear you would like to come to New Zealand…. 🙂
Thank you Ms. Tulloch! You have me very interested in New Zealand! You live in a very cool part of the world!
Erik- I Just want you to know what a fabulous job you did with this interview. All of us old people are so fascinated by your love of reading, and we are proud to call you a colleague. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us. The excitement that you have for great books, helps to keep all of us motivated to write for children. It was an absolute pleasure to interview you! I look forward to watching you achieve all of your goals. I think that I will check back with you in 10 years, if not sooner!
Thank YOU Ms. Hershenson!! I am happy that people want to talk with me about books and I hope that you guys keep writing them! I hope you check in before I am twenty!! 🙂 Thank you again!
