Meet Clyde

This has nothing at all to do with books but I am so happy, I just wanted to have everyone –

MEET CLYDE.

???????????????????????????????

Clyde is a 3-4 year old (they aren’t sure) Basset Hound we adopted from Paws Crossroads Animal Rescue in Berwick PA. (like them on Facebook HERE). We have been without a dog since our yellow lab, Bart, passed away a couple of years ago.Β  My mom saw Clyde pop up on a Pet Finder ad on Facebook and we all decided he was the one for us.Β  Clyde was given to the rescue in January because his owner couldn’t care for him. The nice people at the rescue took very good care of him and my family is happy to have him as part of ours now. πŸ™‚ AND – Clyde likes to read. πŸ˜‰

  9. Clyde is adorable! Looks like Clyde now has 4 floppy ears–the better to hear with! Thank you for rescuing him and giving him a loving home. He’s lucky to have you. We rescued our Maltese mix dog about 9 months ago. He’s the best thing that’s happened to me and our family.

  12. What better for you than a dog who loves to read! This is such fantastic news. I wanted to adopt a rescue dog but because of my specific needs regarding my dad I had to be very selective (as you know) so got a tiny dog no one wanted yet because she was so small. She fits well with our family situation, as Clyde does with yours. I’m so happy for you all. πŸ™‚ You look great together.

    • What do you mean by ‘Oh Clyde, he tried.’?! Is that good, or bad? Anyway, here’s a donut for complimenting Clyde – O And one extra – O And another O And a fancy one – (~) πŸ˜€ What type is Frodo? (just curious – and I love his name!)

  14. Clyde looks like one very lucky (and happy) dog. Such a great match- seems like Clyde fits perfectly into your family’s “missing” space in your hearts. And supporting PAWS is the icing on the cake (or the gravy on the dogfood). Congratulations!

  20. Erik, your family has brought tears to my eyes. Dog rescues are so much a part of my life, I am moving soon just to help out at a transplanted rescue from here (where I am now) to a larger city. Oh, I read Clyde has not barked much. Basset hounds don’t bark that much, but when he does, you will all know it. His bark will sound more like howl. A special thank you for getting your Easter Basset Clyde from a dog rescue! ❀
