Today I welcome back a special guest reviewer that usually takes over graces my blog only on May the Fourth Be With You Day, but has decided to make a special appearance to talk about a book that stars him!
Welcome back – Darth Vader!
shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh
Darth?
shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh
Darth why are you just standing there breathing?
I FEEL A DISTURBANCE IN THE FORCE.
Really? What kind of disturbance? I thought we were here to review Adam Rex’s children’s book that features you?
YES. THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE.
Which one?
shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh
Okay- never mind I will just get on with the review.

48 Pages – ages 5+
Series: Star Wars
Published by Disney Lucasfilm Press on July 3, 2018

Now for Darth Vader’s take on the book –
Darth- what do you think about how Adam Rex portrayed you in this book?
HE WASN’T ON ANY MERCY MISSION AFTER ALL.
Huh? No I am sure Mr. Rex was just trying to show that you aren’t scared of anything, well most things…
PERHAPS I CAN FIND NEW WAYS TO MOTIVATE THEM.
Them who?
shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh shhhhhh skaaaahh
Umm – okay. Well what about the illustrations? I thought Rex really captured the essence of Vader.
HE IS AS POWERFUL AS THE EMPEROR HAS FORESEEN.
What emperor? There’s only a werewolf and a vampire in the book.
IT IS OF NO CONCERN. SOON THE REBELLION WILL BE CRUSHED.
Darth, I need you to focus. I’ve got a blog to run here and… **ahk ahk ahk gaaaasp**
Darth that was uncool. You need to stop force chocking me. Every time you are on my blog it’s the same thing. Just tell me how many book worms you’d give the book.
I WILL GIVE IT 10,000 DEATH STARS.
Nice Darth but my rating scale is in bookworms and it only goes to five
I FIND YOUR LACK OF FAITH DISTURBING.
*sigh*
Okay you win, 10,000 Death Stars. Any last words Darth?

My staff pick at the bookstore when it first came out, and again at Christmas! And I’m not even the biggest SW fan, but this book is so much fun!
You’re not the biggest fan of SW?! *gasp of horror* 😉 Goes to show the power of a great book – uniting the divided fandom! 😉
Got a question for you: customer asking for good history series, beyond I survived or Who is…? Got any suggestions?
Sadly, I haven’t read any history-type series lately. I did love Different Days by Vicki Berger, but I believe it was standalone. I’m sorry I’m not much of a help.
This was a fun review, Erik. Good job! 🙂 I have this book on hold for me at the library, now.
Thank you! I think you’ll find it a really great a story!
Absolutely loved the review. And bad Vader, force choking you like that. But, um, don’t tell him I said that lol!
I’ll just list you as an anonymous tip to Darth. 😉
